Time to turn on the gratitude

Thanksgiving week is upon us - the time we are reminded to pause and give thanks.

It's easy to be grateful when things are going well, but what about when things aren't going so well? This year, for example, may be harder than past years, so we really need to turn on the gratitude.

"Gratitude (and its sibling, appreciation) is the mental tool we use to remind ourselves of the good stuff", writes Jeremy Adam Smith.

Smith writes highly grateful people have six habits they employ - habits we can all learn and use. Our favorites include #5 "They mention the pancakes" and #6 "They thank outside the box". Nice twist to a well-known phrase.

To learn all six habits, please read the whole article by Jeremy Adam Smith.

From our home to yours, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
